The Design

This is the sketch that I am including on the application. The theme is Katherine's idea...starting with the existing metal roof from the cotton trailer, make the float look like an old juke joint. They are the epitomy of recycling in Mississippi...junk on the walls, mismatched materials, patched walls, etc.

from this point forward, we shall be known as the Krewe of Slainte (slahn-cha) or for non-Gaelic speakers, the Krewe of Good Health.

Caroline delivered the check last night, so all I have left to do is make a quick sketch and turn in the application.  I'll be sure to scan and post the sketch once it's done.

Time for Enrollment - APPLICATION DUE THIS WEEK

We need to get our application in this week - do we need to have a dinner tonight or tomorrow night to fill it out or does somebody want to man it alone?

The Eagle has LANDED!

Well, it's official - we have our trailer -- Andy and Chemo went to get it today. I asked them via text message how she looked and Chemo just sent me back an answer: "awesome."

Thanks to my lovely and sharp wife for coming up with the idea of the blog. Hope we get more than the four of us on here, but if not - hell, making decisions will be much easier!

Krewe Name

There have been thousands of emails and ideas back and forth on this.  

I think the best way to finalize it is for everyone to comment on this post with their personal favorites (3 max).  Then, we can work from that list.
